Going Home: Keats – Episode 1

Going Home Final

I think I’ll try hydroponics.

It will mean opening up the science labs and they are pretty difficult to defend, but I’m sure I can work something out. I should be able to find the things I need easily enough. The lab stores will have most of it I would guess, and I can get to the Rural Studies block easy enough during the day. It’s not even a fifteen minute walk there and back and I might be able to salvage something else useful from there. It usually comes up with something.

I might have to open up the library again, too. I’m certain there are no books in the living space about hydroponics and to be honest, I don’t think there are any in the library, either. A bit advanced for secondary schools. I worry about weakening two lots of defences, though.

Maybe I should bite the bullet and go to the library in town. I could drop in on the garden centre on the way and see if any of the fish tanks are left and in one piece. That would be much easier than trying to build and seal the tanks myself.

I wish Rich and Samantha were still here. They would know what to do. And Carla. And Miggs. Any of them. I miss them. It’s been a long, long time since they decided to move on.

I’ll think about it in the morning. Time to shore up and make safe. Another night of fun beckons.
